Real Estate Terms A-Z

Are you confused and overwhelmed by the use of real estate terms and words? I remember my first home buying experience and how I felt when signing all the legal parts of my contract. I was lucky enough to have a helpful agent who guided me along the way. When meeting with your agent to list or buy a home don’t be shy about asking what something means. Most agents will gladly explain the use of a word or why it is being used in a contract. Below is a link to a dictionary of words that you might find helpful along the way. This website has a-z listed at the top of the page and you can toggle over each letter to highlight the one you are looking for. Then its as easy as a click of your mouse to select the letter to see the list of words that are within that letter.

An example of this is under the letter “B” , I selected the word “backup offer” and the definition given to me was – 1. A real estate purchase contract that only becomes effective if the current contract cannot close. 2. A secondary bid for a property that the seller will accept if the first offer fails.

Remember here at Tamra Wade & Partners of Remax we are always available to help you with all of you home selling and buying needs.
