Just like you take care of your teeth by going to the dentist regularly or just like you take care of your car with regular oil changesa¦you must also take care of your home regularly. These are a few monthly maintenance tips for any home.

Each month you should make sure all of your smoke detectors are working properly by pressing the test button. If the battery needs changing, go ahead and replace it.
Garbage disposals get gross after a while if they are not cleaned regularly. It is a good idea to grind up ice or lemon peel to keep your kitchen smelling nice.
Check the filters in your furnace and air conditioners on a monthly basis. If they are not cleaned, the system will not work as efficiently and could cause damage to the systems over time.
Look for leaks around plumbing fixtures: look around toilet bases and under sinks for evidence of any water.
It is also a good idea to make sure the (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters) GFCIas are working.

These are just a few ideas that will help you maintain your home.
