First time home buyers & renters- It's time to enter the market!

According to a recent article by Clark Howard, now is a fantastic time to buy a home, especially for first time home buyers and those who are renting, but would like to own. Economists are saying that affordable housing is at the best level it’s been in over 40 years!

Interest rates are at 4.5% today, and there are numerous down payment assistance programs available, no matter where you live. What does that mean for you? You have the low price of housing and money that’s available on these low priced home, to those who qualify. Taken together, that means there’s never been a more affordable time to buy. If you are currently renting, there is no doubt that you could own a home for less then you are paying in rent. The tax advantages alone make it worth your while to own a home instead of giving away your hard earned money to a landlord each month.

With so much negative news on the housing market over the last few years, it’s very exciting to read new data showing that house prices are starting to stabilize. In some markets, home values are back to what they were ten years ago! This is fabulous news for buyers and sellers alike. Especially so for those who never thought they could purchase their own home. It really is possible and we would love to help you achieve that goal!

At Tamra Wade & Partners of RE/MAX Tru, we can walk you through the steps of making your dream of home ownership a reality. We have excellent lenders we work with that are very knowledgeable of all down payment assistance programs available, and some can approve you for a loan with a credit score as low as a 580!
